We rode our bikes downtown again Saturday to pick up some food from the Farmer’s Market. Check out the amazing purple asparagus as part of the booty (top left).
That asparagus, likely picked that morning, ended up on a skewer with other veggies marinated in Garlic Expressions — you know… that amazing locally-produced salad dressing that you can pick up just about anywhere in Toledo?
Everything tasted great, including the slices of pumpernickle I toasted up last minute. We picked that up at the market, too, from Country Grains Bread Co. (based in Sylvania).
