Double date night at Registry Bistro! D. and I met good friends S. and R. for dinner earlier this month, and loved the new Winter menu that Chef Erika Rapp has been slowly rolling out. We started with a few things—my favorite Scotch Olives, and new to the menu, Mussels w/ Chorizo and Prosciutto Croquettes. I could have just eaten the croquettes all night, but there was more to enjoy!
After salads and soups… and let me stress that you should NEVER overlook the soup… we moved onto the entrees. I chose the Wood Grilled Winter Vegetable Chioppino while D. ordered a melt-in-your-mouth Venison Salisbury Steak. I am usually shy of venison, but he pleaded with me to try it. I think I’ll order it myself, on our next visit. It was not at all the gamey taste I expected. Highly recommended.
S. and R. loved their choices as well—Pastrami Rubbed Beef Tenderloin and a fish (the type of which I cannot remember). Maybe all the wine had something to do with my memory of the fish? Wine. Yes. Much wine.
Fantastic night. Love Registry. Love the gracious staff. And I love the convenience of valet in this cold weather!
Keep warm.
