With the warmer weather of Spring comes the start of ice cream season. My husband grew up a short walk away from Lickity Split and spent many a summer enjoying their soft-serve. In the few years I’ve been here I hadn’t visited the shop or the adjacent diner so this week we took some time off for lunch and got burgers. Yummy, yummy burgers. Burgers grilled up by Marcia Helman, the owner, and board member of the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. Afterwards we got some soft-serve. I generally don’t eat ice cream but this was really creamy, not too sweet and served in a great old-fashioned sugar cone.
If you’re feeling a bit peckish and happen to be driving down the Trail, do yourself a big one and stop in.
